Getting Ready...

Not to jump the gun too much, here's the list of what needs to be accomplished during Advent. Thanks to Colleen for posting her list. The why behind all of this will follow later.

Before Advent begins:
-prepare Advent wreath (done)
-make paper chain (done)
-prepare Advent book baskets (done)
-hang Jesse Tree (done--and oh. my. word. It's precious!)
-get manger and yarn ready for good deeds (done)
-purchase Christmas music (done)
-pick up house to begin deep clean (done)
-declutter outside toys; major purge needed! (done)
-set up Nativity (done)

1st week of Advent:
-put up tree (done)
-deep clean and declutter school room, kitchen and den (done!!)
-finalize plans for St. Nicholas’ feast (done)
-finish any shopping locally (done)
-complete any online orders (done)
-order Christmas cards (well....) (now done!)

2nd Week of Advent:
-hang outside lights (to be turned on for St. Lucia's feast) --DONE
-deep clean and declutter hall bathroom and kids’ rooms; toy purge --DONE
-address and mail Christmas cards-- DONE
-prepare for fiesta for Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego (done)
-prepare for St. Lucia’s feast-- DONE
-finish any handmade Christmas gifts --DONE!!!!

3rd Week of Advent:
-deep clean and declutter master bedroom and bathroom
-wrap gifts
-help Mom with any preparations for her house

Christmas Week:
-bake, bake, bake
-attend Christmas Eve Mass
-decorate tree, turn on lights
-Christmas Day at Nana’s house
-Christmas night candlelit Mass at the Cathedral
