Tuesday, First Week of Advent

Today was beautiful.

The weather was cold and crisp.

Skies were bluer than blue.

Hot chocolate and reading time were sweet...the kids loved toasted pistolettes with butter.

Mass was great...Father's homily just right...learning the new translation is a gift; it makes us all much more aware and pay much closer attention.

Jacob and Mary-Grace played an UNO marathon for about three hours.

I witnessed an unsolicited apology between siblings.

My girls played beautifully with each other.

Annie, Ava and I played with connectagons and castles.

We watched "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl" with Annelise yelling "Kick!" the whole time.

We had dinner with Granddad, always a treat.

We added the first ornament to our Jesse Tree...the stump.  We read about the shoot that came from the stump being our family line of faith.  We committed again to waiting well.
